Funeral services for Lucy Stewart DeMyers, of Brookhaven, are 1 p.m. on Friday, March 2, at Old. St. John M.B. Church, with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery. R.E. Tyler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Thursday from noon until 7 p.m. at the funeral home with the family present from 6 until 7.
Mrs. DeMyers, 76, died Feb. 25, 2012, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. She was born in Wesson on April 22, 1935, to Joe and Cora Stewart.
She was a member of Old St. John M.B. Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; sisters, Dessie Mae Stewart, Myrtle Lee, Lola “Ada” Jefferson and Lottie Young; and brothers, Joe Stewart Jr., Melvin Stewart and M.L. “Sonny” Stewart.
Survivors are her daughters, Mazie Davis and husband, Eugene, Renee Corley, Delores “Tina” Corley and Bertha Rockingham, all of Brookhaven; sons, Elisa Corley Jr., of Brookhaven, and John DeMyers, of Austin, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Doretha Kelly, James Henderson and Pearl Henderson.
