Funeral services for Tommie Otis Henry Darsey, of Natchez, were 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, at Laird Funeral Home in Natchez, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Jeff Brewer will officiate.

     Mrs. Darsey, 91, died April 14, 2012, in West Point. She was born in Mathiston on Oct. 19, 1920, the oldest of ten children, to Hearon Otis Henry and Sylbia Jean Cherry Henry.

     She graduated from Mathiston High School in 1940. Mrs. Darsey worked for Sears and Roebuck for 25 years. She retired in February of 1985. While working at Sears, she made many friends and continued the friendships in her retirement years.

     Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Benjamin Jerome Darsey; two brothers, Owenton Henry and Tim Henry; and one son-in-law, James “Buck” Beach.

     Survivors are his son, Robert Allen Darsey and wife, Mary Lou, of West Point; daughters, Tommie Fay Beach, of Brandon, and Ruby Lee Porter and husband, Randy, of Brookhaven; grandchildren, Chris Porter and wife, Stephanie, Stephanie Verucchi and husband, Kenneth, all of Brookhaven; Ben Darsey and wife Shonda, of West Point, Michelle Burgess and husband, Nathan, of Brookhaven, and Janna Murray and husband, Brandt, of West Point; great-grandchildren, Seth Porter, Julianna Porter, Mackenzie Porter, Vivi Claire Porter, Katherine Verucchi, Kylee Verucchi, Landon Porter, Peyton Burgess, Ethan Burgess, Levin Darsey, Mary Lynnon Darsey and Kolt Darsey; step-grandchildren, Trevor Murray and Taylor Murray; sisters, Willene Harper, Mary McClain, both of West Point, Annice Breland and husband, Doyce, of Mathiston, and Maudie Young and husband, Gailon, of West Point; sister-in-law, Dot Henry, of Natchez; and brothers, Rudy Henry and wife, Opal, Burl Henry and wife, Betty, all of West Point, and Glenn Henry, of Natchez.
