Funeral services for C.H. Byrd, of Brookhaven, are 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 19, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park.
Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Byrd, 72, died April 17, 2012, at his home. He was born in Mississippi on June 18, 1939, to Grover C. and Cammie Freeman Byrd.
He owned Byrd Farm Hot Shot Service, LLC, of Brookhaven and was a member of Northview Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents, five brothers and two sisters.
Survivors are his wife, Geraldine Freeman Byrd; sons, Kelly Byrd and wife, Veronica, and Stephen Byrd and wife, Melanie; daughters, April Williford and S.T. Hughes, Maye Freeman and husband, Shane, and June Travis and husband, Chris; sister, Clymia Baggett, of Arlington, Ala.; nine grandchildren, Ashley Herring and husband, Jeremy, Gary Byrd, Kristina Stinson and husband, Justin, Tyler Williford and wife, Tammy, Josh Sullivan and wife, Brittany, Sebation Freeman, Austin Travis, Canon Travis and Blakeny Byrd; and nine great-grandchildren, Tucker and Ava Grace Herring, Reese and Casen Dehart, Chaney Williford, Gage, Gavin and Garrett Stinson, and Mackie Sullivan.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Byrd, Tyler Williford, Jeremy Herring, Justin Stinson, Chris Travis and Austin Travis. Honorary pallbearers are Sebation Freeman, Philip Boyles and William Davis.
