Funeral services for Leroy Hewitt, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, with burial in Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is Tuesday from 5:30 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Hewitt, 79, died April 23, 2012, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. He was born in Mississippi on March 4, 1933, to Lee and Glenny Adams Hewitt.
He was the retired owner of Lincoln Truck Parts and a member of Central Baptist Church. He was an avid golfer, a member of the Masonic Lodge and served on the Board of Adjustments for the city of Brookhaven. Mr. Hewitt served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Preceding him in death were his parents; sister, Linda Sue Hewitt; and brothers, Oliver Hewitt and Parnell Hewitt.
Survivors are his wife, Evone Hewitt; son, Ronnie Hewitt; daughters, Debbie Duncan and husband, Charles, and Sonya Foster and husband, Barry; brothers, Earl Hewitt and Gerald Hewitt; sister, Patricia Busby; six grandchildren, Scott Duncan, Amanda Foreman, Brooks Foster, Brandon Foster, Callie Hewitt and Clancy Hewitt; five great-grandchildren, Noah Duncan, McKayla Foreman, Laney Hewitt, Hailey Malone and Hunter Duncan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
