Dorothy Jean Fife Lofton passed away at home with her family by her side. She went to be with the Lord May 1, 2012. She lived 65 wonderful years. She loved her family and the Lord with all her heart.

     She was born in Texas on July 18, 1946, to Arthur and Opal Fife.

     Preceding her in death were her parents and sister, Jane Wilson.

     Survivors are her son, Lloyd Lofton and wife, Becky and their children, Matthew Christa and wife, Brianna, and Amber Christa; daughter, Marie Fairchild and husband Phil and their children, Chris Dickerson and wife, Heather, Cody Dickerson, and Kayla Johnson and husband, Chris; great-grandchildren, Marley Christa, Tucker Dickerson, Conner Christa and Emma Dickerson; and brothers, A.J. Fife and wife, Mary, and Tony Fife and wife, Judy.

     Funeral services are 11 a.m. on Friday, May 4, at Community Funeral Services, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Natchez. Visitation is Thursday from 6 until 9 p.m. and Friday from 9 until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

     Pallbearers will be Chris Dickerson, Cody Dickerson, Matthew Christa, Chris Johnson, Justin Nevels and Colton Fife.

     The family would like to thank Hospice Ministries, Cathrine Leggett and King’s Daughters Medical Center third floor and ICU staff.
