Funeral services for Matthew Stapleton, of Monticello, are 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, with burial in Bethshan Cemetery in Monticello.

     Mr. Stapleton, 43, died June 2, 2012, at The University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was born in Mississippi on April 26, 1969.

     He was a professional painter and a member of Jayess Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman.

     Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Riley Turner and Julius C. Stapleton; and aunt, Mary Lou Dyess.

     Survivors are his wife, Rhonda Burnette Stapleton; parents, Ray and Jo Turner Stapleton; daughters, Emily Morgan and husband, Timothy, and Logan Stapleton; stepsons, Zachary Bozeman and Seth Bozeman; biological father, Jackey Simmons; grandmother, Gladys Stapleton; mother-in-law, Sylvia Burnette; and three grandchildren, Rylan Morgan, Talan Morgan and Brooklyn Stapleton.
