Funeral services for Douglas Kirk Allen of Bogue Chitto are 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 11, at Shady Grove Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.

     Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home and Wednesday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the church.

     Mr. Allen, 46, died July 6, 2012, at his residence. He was born in Louisiana on Sept. 17, 1965.

     Mr. Allen was a teacher at Enterprise Attendance Center. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.

     Preceding him in death were his father, Tommy Allen; his stepfather, Edgar Coleman; and a sister, Donna Coleman.

     Survivors include his wife, Stephanie Britt Allen; his mother, Wanda Coghlan Coleman; his sons, Taylor Allen, Tate Allen and Tanner Allen; his daughter, Mary Elizabeth Allen; his brothers, Dennis Coleman and wife, Tami Adams Coleman; his sister, Debbie Allen Coon, and husband, Kevin; his mother- and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Billy O. Britt; his brothers-in-law, Robby Britt and wife, Tammy, and Landon Britt and wife, Teresa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
