Funeral services for Wayne Lee Stewart, of Sontag, are 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello, with burial in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 10 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Stewart, 68, died July 28, 2012, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. He was born on Feb. 9, 1944, to Wayne Stewart and Dorothy Gregory Smith.
He served in the Army National Guard and was retired from pipeline/construction. He liked to make a block and cut grass. Mr. Stewart was a great friend to many.
Preceding him in death were his parents; stepfather, Marion H. Smith Sr.; grandparents, Frank and Jewel Gregory; and brother-in-law, Johnny Martin.
Survivors are his son, Edward Stewart and wife, Stacy, of Monticello; daughter, Elizabeth Stewart and husband, Raymond Boudreaux, of Kenner, La.; three grandchildren, Trish Smith and husband, Paul, of Brookhaven, Raymond Boudreaux Jr. of Kenner, La., and Savannah Boudreaux, of Kenner, La.; great-grandchild, Gunner Smith, of Brookhaven; siblings, Patsy Martin, of Natchez, Marion Harlan Jr. Smith and wife, Wilma, of Monticello, and William Smith and wife, Melba, of Madison; uncle, Frank Gregory and wife, Betty, of Lemoore, Calif.; three nieces; two nephews; and significant other, Janet Hanshew, of Sontag.
