Graveside services for Myrtle Richardson Byrne, of Brookhaven, are 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1, at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Ave. due to inclement weather, with burial in Mt. Olive Church of Christ.    

     Visitation is Friday from 5 until 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

     Mrs. Byrne, 82, died Aug. 28, 2012, at her home. She was born in Brookhaven on July 8, 1930, to Julius and Cornie Roberts Richardson.

     She was of the Church of Christ faith and operated The Dry Goods Shop in Brookhaven for over 30 years.

     Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, L.C. Byrne; and sister, Dorothy Loper. 

     Survivors are her son, Michael Julius “Bernie” Byrne; daughter, Tammy Michele Jackson and husband, Clayton Bruce Jackson, all of Brookhaven; brothers-in-law, James Ray Byrne and Ronny Rank; and sisters-in-law, Marie Nichols, Eloise Kycek and Laura Ann Whetzel.
