Funeral services for Ada Claire Walker, of Brookhaven, are 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 11, at New Sight Baptist Church, with burial in Rosehill Cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Monday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and Tuesday from 9 until 10 a.m. at the church.
Mrs. Walker, 88, died Sept. 7, 2012, at The University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was born in Brookhaven on Oct. 13, 1923, to Ollie and Ruth Fore Lovell.
She graduated from Brookhaven High School and was a homemaker. Mrs. Walker was a member of New Sight Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Herman “Hi Ball” Walker; and brother, Ollie “Buddy” Lovell.
Survivors are her son, Billy Walker and wife, Ondra; brother, David Lovell; sisters-in-law, Jewel Davis, Ruth Walker and Maureen Lovell; three grandchildren, Dustin Walker and wife, Stacy, Shan Walker and wife, Heather, and Stephanie Alfano and husband, Phillip; 10 great-grandchildren, Alice Ann, Gatson, Merideth Claire, Madison, Mitchell and Miriam Walker, and Abbey, Hailey, Jaden and Jillian Alfano; great-great-grandson, Bentley Keyes; nieces, Kaye Hammond and husband, Danny, Karen Glass and husband, Roger, and Kathy Hammons and husband, Jackie; nephew, Jackie Walker and wife, Cricket; a host of other relatives; and special friends, Pat Harper and Carol Laird.
Pallbearers will be Paul Barnett, Stacey Bane, Reggie Allen, Kelly Case, Andy Hammond and Gordon West.
