Funeral services for Mary Christine Carithers, of Brookhaven, were 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18, at Harrigill Funeral Home, with burial in the Mission Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Harrigill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

     Visitation was Tuesday from noon until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

     Mrs. Carithers, 78, died Sept. 14, 2012, at Haven Hall Health Care Center. She was born in Brookhaven on Dec. 17, 1933, to James L. and Annie Rea Bullock White.

     She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

     Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Hugh T. Carithers; and infant, Terry Lynn Carithers.

     Survivors are her sons, Jimmy Dean Carithers, of Brookhaven and Jerry Glynn Carithers, of McCall Creek; four grandchildren, Caleb, Jacob and Tiffany Carithers and Matthew Touchstone; one great-grandchild, Harleigh Anna Carithers; and special friend, Pina Ritchie.
