Funeral services for Faye Abney Leger, of Bogue Chitto, are 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 30, at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive, with burial in Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Leger, 70, died Jan. 28, 2013, at her home. She was born on Dec. 2, 1942, to Curtis Abney and Wenonah Christenberry Abney Duff.

She was a dedicated certified nurse assistant, mainly working at Silver Cross Home of Brookhaven.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Robert Earl Steele; and four sisters, Margaret Abney, Betty Moore, Peggy Pritchard and Patsy Bishop.

Survivors are her husband, Gerald J. Leger; daughters, Billie Faye Sartin and husband, Robbie, of Brookhaven, and Cherie Johnson and husband, Bennie, of Bogue Chitto; grandchildren, Holly Case, Dana Sartin, Jessica Bertram and Leann Stump; and brother, James Abney and wife, Carlis.
