BOGUE CHITTO – Mattie Avants scored 19 points to lead four players in double figures and Bogue Chitto’s Lady Cats overwhelmed the Piney Woods girls 90-34 Tuesday night in a season-high offensive explosion., Rheagan Welch chipped in 12 points, Christian Black 11 and Adrienne Wallace 10 in R.L. “Bob” Calhoun Gymnasium.

The Lady Cats (19-5, 4-2) cruised to a 53-17 halftime lead, allowing Coach Christi Terrell to substitute earlier than usual in the Region 7-1A contest.

A 27-point performance by Raven Thompson led the Lady Tornadoes and all scorers.

Bogue Chitto lost the boys game. The Lady Cats and Bobcats are at Hinds AHS in Utica Friday.
