WESSON – Copiah-Lincoln Community College Head Baseball Coach Keith Case announces the hiring of Ryne Tutor as an assistant baseball coach. He replaces Sid Norton who left the Wolfpack just before the beginning of the year. Tutor will coach the outfielders and will also be the team’s hitting coach.

Tutor played for the Co-Lin Wolves from 2008 until 2010. He was selected team captain and was MACJC Academic All-State. Tutor was also selected to Who’s Who Among Community College Students.

“As a coach, to be able to bring back a former player to coach for you is something everyone in our profession looks forward to and cherishes,” Coach Case said about his new hire, “We are lucky to be able to bring someone in just before the season starts that understands not only what it means to play here, but also knows what it takes to make your time spent at Co-Lin and on this team a success.”

“It’s a real honor to get a chance to come coach for Co-Lin” said Tutor, “It’s not every day you have the opportunity to go back to your alma mater and try to give back to a program that gave you so much when you were a student-athlete.”

Before coming to Co-Lin Tutor served as an assistant football coach for Sacred Heart High School in Hattiesburg, where he worked with the wide receivers and defensive backs. He is a Franklin County native.
