Funeral services for Edith Merle Wooten Letchworth of Wesson are 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 14, at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Wesson, with burial in Strong Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday from 6 until 9 p.m. and Thursday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., both at the church.

Mrs. Letchworth, 92, died Feb. 11, 2013 at Silver Cross Home. She was born in Mississippi on Dec. 7, 1920 to Joseph C. Hamilton and Louanna McBride Hamilton.

She was a factory worker and worked at the Potter Company. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; first husband, Bennie D. Wooten; second husband, Woodrow “Shorty” Letchworth; six brothers and five sisters; and one granddaughter, Sherry Boyte.

Survivors are her sons, Jimmy Wooten and wife, Minnie, of Wesson, Bennie C. Wooten of Magee and Kenneth R. “Fuzz” Wooten and wife, Nancy, of Brookhaven; daughter, Alice Merle Malley of Magee; six grandchildren, Mitch Wooten, Mike Wooten, Anita Trigg, Melissa Cooper, Nicole Carr and Beth Johnson; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zion Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.
