Jackson Cole checked Bogue Chitto with an 11-strikeout, 4 hitter and the Enterprise Yellow Jackets shaved the Bobcats 4-3 Thursday in the Lincoln County Baseball Tournament at West Lincoln’s Cow Palace. The junior right-hander issued 2 bases on balls as the Jackets scored the wining run in the bottom of the seventh on a suicide squeeze play.

“Anytime you win a game on a suicide squeeze, then it is as fun and exciting as it gets,” said Enterprise coach Cass Brister. “Again, it wasn’t very pretty but we won.”

Brister praised the Bobcats. “Bogue Chitto played well and it was a hard-fought, good, old-fashion baseball game. Our team must take better approaches during the middle innings and stop the middle-game lull,” he added.
