Funeral services for Veda Grace Price Beasley of Wesson were 1 p.m. on Monday, March 4, at First United Methodist Church of Brookhaven, with burial in Rosehill Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Beasley, 100, passed away March 2, 2013 at her home. She was a native of Lincoln County and was born on Aug. 18, 1912 to John Henry Price and Allie Elizabeth Carlisle Price.

She was retired from the Brookhaven Creamery and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Brookhaven.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Sidney T. Beasley; six sisters, Willie Reatha Price, Marie Price, Toy Olivia Price, Ernestine Price, Maxine Golda Price and Ruby “Petie” Price; and her two grandsons, Sid Beasley and Brad Beasley.

Survivors are her daughter, Libby Beasley, of Windermere, Fla.; son, Sidney H. Beasley and wife, Diane, of Wesson; four grandchildren, Debra Byrd and husband, Joe, Debra Davila, Ben Massengill and Emily Massengill; five great-grandchildren, Joey Byrd, Crystal Byrd, Lizabeth Smith, Lesley Buie and Sydney Massengill; and two great-great-grandsons, Joey Byrd Jr. and Logan Allen.
