WESSON – Bailey Warren pitched a 2-hitter in leading the Wesson Cobras to an 11-1 victory against the East Marion Eagles in Region 6-2A baseball action. The junior right-hander struck out 5 batters and walked 3.

Wesson (4-2, 1-0), coached by Seth Lofton, plays East Marion at Foxworth Friday night.

“Bailey Warren did a good job on the mound for us,” said Coach Lofton.

Lofton’s Cobras broke open a close game with a 7-run, fourth-inning explosion. They were powered by Brandon Nettles and Cullen Greer who both singled and doubled. Warren added a single.

East Marion’s Jaylin Akin (3K, 8BB) was charged with the loss.

The Eagles got singles from Reheam McMorris and Jonathan Abram.
