Funeral services for Christy Lynn Smith of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13, at Macedonia Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and Wednesday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the church.

Mrs. Smith, 39, died March 8, 2013. She was born in Mississippi on Oct. 24, 1973.

She was a receptionist at the OB-GYN clinic in Brookhaven and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Everyone who knew Christy knew her for the love and devotion she had for her children and family. She had 23 years with the love of her life, Kevin. Her main goal in life was to be the best mother and her pride and joy were her kids and family. Her bright and heartfelt smile will always be in our hearts and she will be sadly missed by family and so many friends.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Edward and Bertha Smith and Betty McCullough.

Survivors are her husband, Kevin Smith; sons, Josh and Logan Smith; daughter, Matti Claire Smith; parents, Rickey Ezell and Peggy Smith Britt; brother, Justin Ezell and wife, Tracey; mother-in-law, Mona Smith; stepfather, Danny Britt; brother-in-law Todd Smith and wife, Carol Ann; father-in-law Mike Smith and wife, Pat; five nieces, Kaylee Ezell, Megan Ezell, Emily Smith, Shelby Smith and Abbey Smith; two nephews, Cole Ezell and Mason Smith; and special loved one, Danielle Tadlock.

A benefit fund has been set up at Bank of Brookhaven for the children.
