“We had a pretty good day,” said Ole Brook coach Randy Spring, whose Panthers improved to 6-7 on the season. “We put the ball in play, and after the first inning, we made the plays defensively.”
The Panthers were paced by junior right-fielder Reed Jones, who went 3-for-3. Houston Case, Nick Kesler, Andrew Culver, Zach Smith, and Noah Rogers also had hits for Brookhaven.
After Enterprise plated 2 unearned runs in the top of the first, Brookhaven started piling on runs, scoring in every inning. The Panthers scored 4 in the first, with catcher Smith’s 2-run double being the big blow. Jones singled and scored in a 2-run second.
Jones’ third hit came in a 3-run third. Rogers’ RBI single finished off a 3-run fourth. Kesler scored the game-ender when Blaine Moak’s fly ball was erred in the fifth.
Houston Case worked 3 effective innings to earn the win. Seth Porter pitched the final 2 frames.
Enterprise got base hits from Lane Boyd, Jackson Cole, and Dylan Smith. Cole started on the mound and worked 3 innings. Southpaw Alex Stafford relieved Cole in the fourth.

Coach Cass Brister’s Jackets had a better time of it against Tylertown. They scored 2 in the bottom of the first, and never trailed. Austin Fuller’s RBI double was the key hit. Lane Boyd and Braxton Foster had singles in the second, when Enterprise scored 1 run. Josh Hardin and Layne Brown added hits in a 2-run third.
Singles by Fuller, Hardin, and Max Miller added up to an Enterprise run in the fifth. Boyd had a double and Cole, a single, in a 3-run sixth. Dylan Smith also hit safely.
Foster went a solid 7 innings on the mound to earn the complete-game win. He gave up just 3 singles, and struck out 6.
In the first game of the day, a 10 a.m. contest, Mendenhall defeated Tylertown 12-2.
