PEARL – The Pearl Pirates skinned the Brookhaven Panthers 12-6 Thursday night in Region 6-5A baseball action in Jackson.

“We have been struggling to get things going offensively this week,” said BHS coach Randy Springs. “Pearl has a good ball club. Overall, we are still in the hunt in the region race and playoffs. We just need to continue working hard to improve in practice and in games to get to the playoffs.”

The Panthers (8-10, 4-2) return to action Tuesday. They host their arch region rivals, the McComb Tigers for a huge district test. Junior varsity action begins at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity game at 7.
