The Brookhaven Panthers cleared their first hurdle in the Class 5A Team Tennis playoffs, defeating Moss Point 5-2 Monday on the Brookhill courts. They were led by Ryan Thibodeaux and Walker Franck who won No. 1 boys doubles in straight sets over Akevian Cunningham and Oscar Broughton, 6-1, 6-2.

Coach Nancy Fischer’s BHS squad won the region tournament last week.
