Services for Ayleen Richardson Boyett are 11 a.m. on Friday, May 24, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park.
Visitation is Friday from 9 until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Ayleen Richardson Boyett, 83, passed away at her home in Brookhaven on May 18, 2013. She was born in Brookhaven on December 27, 1929, to McKinley and Ruby Roberts Richardson.
Ayleen graduated with a degree in nursing from Mississippi Baptist School of Nursing in Jackson in 1956. She was night supervisor for St. Ann General Hospital in Mathews, La. from the late 1950’s to 1980 until her husband was transferred back to Brookhaven. She continued her nursing career at King Daughter’s Medical Center in Brookhaven until her retirement in 1999, where she touched many lives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Boyett; parents, McKinley and Ruby Richardson; and two brothers, David Richardson and Ralph Richardson.
She is survived by two stepchildren, Judy Champagne and husband, Aubrey, of New Orleans and Bob Boyett and wife, Brenda, of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; sisters, Eva Dee Rodriguez, of Brookhaven, and Helen Segers, of Ashburn, Va.; brother, Roy Richardson and wife, Joann, of Brookhaven; and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
