The Lincoln County Dixie Youth Baseball Major American League All-Stars begin playoff action Friday in the District Six double-elimination tournament at Pine Hill field in Gloster.

The District Six Tournament will be held at Pine Hill on Friday and Saturday, before moving to Franklin County on Monday and Tuesday to play at Bude’s Leroy “Cowboy” Jones Memorial Field.

The 12-year-old American All-Stars, under the direction of head coach/manager Brady Gartman, will embark on their quest to make an appearance to the State Tournament in Hattiesburg, July 19.

The District Six Tournament will include the Lincoln County Americans, the Copiah County All-Stars, the Franklin County All-Stars, the Pine Hill All-Stars, the Walthall County All-Stars and the Natchez All-Stars. They will be working hard to claim the final three spots and advance the State Tournament.

The Lincoln County Americans kick off the tournament in the opener today against Copiah County at 4 p.m.
