Funeral services for James Benjamin “Jim” Carlisle Jr. of Ruth were 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9, at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive, with burial in Wesson Cemetery.

Mr. Carlisle, 34, died July 5, 2013. He was born in Jackson on April 11, 1979.

He was a carpenter and member of Rocky Hill Baptist Church in Wesson.

Preceding him in death were his mother, Rose Marie Newman Carlisle; grandmother, Emma Newman; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Carlisle.

Survivors are his wife, Crystal Carlisle, and his four children, Malorie, Mackenzie, Landon and Emma-Rose Carlisle, all of Ruth; his father, James B. Carlisle Sr. and wife, Donna, of Georgetown; two brothers, B.J. Errington and Wes Carlisle, both of Georgetown; two sisters, Billie Carlisle Davis and husband, Curtis, of Brookhaven and Jamie Carlisle McCallum of Wesson; grandfather, Wilmer Newman of Wesson; six nephews, three nieces and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Serving as pallbearers were Will Newman, Rick Carlisle, Steven Carlisle, Wes Carlisle, Draven Keyes, Jonathan McCallum, Tommy Roberts and Kevin Harris.
