Funeral services for Edwin Winford Montgomery of Brookhaven are 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, with burial in Dublin Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Montgomery, 81, died July 10, 2013 at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital in Jackson. He was born in Mississippi on March 31, 1932 to Huey Montgomery and Edna Montgomery.

He was retired from the oilfield and also owned a grocery store. He was the previous owner of Ed’s Cleaners. Mr. Montgomery was a member of Southway Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Frankie Montgomery; parents; grandparents; granddaughter, Angela Autrey; and two brothers, Gordon and Charles Montgomery.

Survivors are his son, Eddie Montgomery and wife, Tabbie; daughter, Frances “Elaine” Leathers; brother, Willie Montgomery; five grandchildren, Mandy King and husband, Jim, Holly Ivy and husband, Shawn, Tiffany Smith and husband, Jason, Trudy Brooks and husband, Kyle, and Christi Vance and husband, Will; and 13 great-grandchildren, Katie McNamee, Kelly and Amber Ivy, Daria and Dawson Smith, Seth, Clay and Caleb LeRay, Hayden, Carson and Kaileigh Brooks, and Conner and Claudia Claire Vance.
