Funeral services for Lt. Col. Elbert Clarence Jenkins of San Antonio are 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, at Harrigill Funeral Home, with burial in Easthaven Cemetery. The Rev. Frank Newell will officiate.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lt. Col. Jenkins, 93, died July 9, 2013 at Christus Sister Mary Hospice Center in San Antonio. He was born in Crosby on Dec. 24, 1919. He had a distinguished career in the U.S. Air Force and NASA.
