Funeral services for Tommy L. Breazeale of Philadelphia were 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, at McCLain-Hays Funeral Home in Philadelphia, with Dr. Dan Howard officiating. Burial followed in Sand Hill Cemetery in Neshoba County.

Mr. Breazeale, 75, died July 14, 2013, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He was born and reared in Neshoba County and made his home in Jackson for a number of years before returning to Neshoba County.

Mr. Breazeale started his banking career with Deposit Guaranty in Jackson in 1956 and served in various departments for 29 years. He then worked for Great Southern National Bank in Meridian and retired as vice president on Dec. 31, 2002, after 16 years. He owned and operated Bo-Breeze Speedway with his family from 1984 until 1995. He was active in Jackson Jaycees from the early 60’s through early 70’s and served as external vice president and state director.

He was also involved in North Jackson Exchange Club and Habitat for Humanity in Meridian. Mr. Breazeale was a member of First Baptist Church in Philadelphia.

Survivors include his high school sweetheart and wife of 56 years, Shirley Bell Breazeale; children, Rennia B. Blakeney (Roger) of Brookhaven, Steve L. Breazeale (Dorene) of Brandon and Stanley D. Breazeale of Philadelphia; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn B. Cox (Charles) of Brandon, Sandra Stephens (Rob) of Garland, Texas, Linda H. Eakes of Philadelphia and Louise H. Johnson (Raymond) of Mena, Ark; and brother, Alan Breazeale (Gail) of Philadelphia.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jane Breazeale Jackson; grandson, Stanley Breazeale Jr.; parents, L.R. Breazeale, Claudia Breazeale Hill and Ernest Hill and brother, William Hill.
