CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cyclist Frank Moak of Brookhaven won his second gold medal in the U.S. Olympic Senior Games. He blazed to victory in Thursday’s 5K time trial, posting a time of 6:22.
“It was a little less windy,” said Moak, who won the 10K race Wednesday. “It was a good ride, a good course.”
“(Race officials) had the whole road closed so you have more room to ride and make those corners, I had a good race.”
Moak said he won by four seconds over the silver medal rider. He was schedule to ride a pair of weekend road races.
Butch Sims of Hattiesburg, entered in the 60-64 category, finished third in his age division. He ran a 6:39 in the 5K.
