A sweat-soaked 15-under 55, authored by the team of  Mel Dye, Leland Carruth, Wanda Scott, Bob Scott and Dorman Howell captured Thursday’s Senior Scramble at the Brookhaven Country Club.

     There was a scorecard playoff for second and third place. Three teams shot 56 as Les Dunn, John Darrington, Jerry Kimbel, Justin Morgan and Kenny Thornhill earned second place.

     In third place was the team of Jerry Harper, Roy Ginn, Gene Hardin, Tommy Vice and Sam Bowman.

     The Senior Scramble is open to the public and starts each Thursday at 9 a.m. Entry deadline is 8:30.
