M4 Outdoors added to Miss. Wildlife weekend

    M4 Outdoors, composed of Macedonia Baptist Church men, ministry and missions, will help celebrate this weekend’s Mississippi Wildlife Extravaganza at the Trademart Center located on the Mississippi Fairgrounds. M4 will join with Woods, Wheels and Water Outdoors in a 3D archery shoot at the Kirk Fordice Equine Center, located adjacent to the Trademart Center, starting Friday at 1 p.m.

      Competitors will shoot at 10 targets during the timed event. Three shots will be from a raised platform. The archery shoot is the main fundraiser for the WWW0, a non-profit organization, which takes disadvantaged youth and wounded warriors, those who have been injured serving our nation;  on quality hunting and fishing trips

     M4 of Macedonia will have a booth adjacent to WWWO in the Trade Center, Friday-Sunday. Jonathan Sellers and Peck Vaughn are co-directors of M4. The booth will be erected tonight in preparation for the weekend.

     M4 will provide volunteers to set up the archery competition, provide competitive targets and scoring personnel, plus male and female volunteers for the WWWO and Bass Pro Shop booths

     On Friday, Home Depot will contribute free hamburgers and hotdogs from 1-4 p.m., at the Equine Center. Archery competition continues Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

     There is a $20 entrance fee for the first round and $10 for each additional round.

     On Saturday, WWWO will also host the Midsouth Chili Championship Cook-off. Registration is from 8-10 a.m. There is a $20 entrance fee. Judging begins at 1 p.m.

     On Sunday morning, the Rev. Dr. Garland Boyd of Macedonia will conduct a worship service at the Equine Center, starting at 8:30. Clementine, composed of Jessica and Kallie Rose Boyd, will provide worship music and songs for the service.

     Archery competition resumes at 10 a.m. and lasts until 5 p.m.

     Chris Patton of WWWO serves as chairman of the organization. Macedonia member Kirk Douglas of Naxster Nation directs a charity dove hunt each year that provides funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
