Fred Warren Furr, 84, of Brookhaven passed away Aug. 2, 2013 at Silver Cross Home. He was born on Dec. 30, 1928 to Robert Dewitt Furr and Johnnie Speed Furr.

Services for Mr. Furr are 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 5, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Furr was a retired dairy farmer and owner of a logging and trucking company with his son. He was also a member of First Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death was his parents, Robert and Johnnie Furr; brothers Scott Furr and Troy Furr; and daughter-in-law, Debbie Furr.

Survivors are his wife of 63 years, Faye Mahaffey Furr; son, Bobby Furr and wife, Joyce, of Brookhaven; daughters, Ann Frazier and husband, Joe, of Flower Mound, Texas, and Lisa Burt and husband, Van, of Brookhaven; grandchildren, Chris Furr and wife, Kathryn, of Taos, N.M., Katie Furr, Cliff Furr and wife, Angela, Megan Smith and husband, Steven, all of Brookhaven, Josh Frazier of Flower Mound, Texas, Ryan Burt and wife, Hannah, of Brandon, and Eric Frazier of Melbourne, Australia. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, Amelia and Graham Furr.

Memorials may be made in his honor to Hospice Advantage of Brookhaven.
