Services for Daniel L. Bailey Jr. will be held Saturday August 17, at 3 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, with interment at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, next to his mom. Visitation will be Saturday from 1 p.m. until time of service.

Daniel L. Bailey Jr. passed away quietly as the sun was setting on Aug. 7, 2013. His mother and father were waiting with open arms in his new heavenly home to welcome him to a glorious place with no pain, and he is able to walk and talk with his family who went before him.

Danny was born a special child on April 29, 1969, to Virginia “Ginny” Hammons Bailey and Larry Bailey who both preceded him in death. He was the first grandchild and firstborn in a family of two other siblings.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents, Robert and Effie Hammons and Dan and Elizabeth Bailey.

He is survived by his brother, Lance Bailey and sister, Bernie Bailey of Las Vegas; two nephews, Jesse Travez and Johnny Bailey; his aunts, Nancy Carpenter, Sherry Kratz and Trish Rushing; uncle, Bobby Hammons; and many cousins who loved him very much.

He never spoke or walked a step on this earth, but we are rejoicing that he is laughing and walking in his heavenly home.
