Good healthcare ranks right at the top on the wish lists of people looking for a great place to call home.

And the local area is blessed to have an outstanding hospital right here in Brookhaven. It’s no surprise to local folks that King’s Daughters Medical Center just keeps winning accolades for its outstanding facility and staff.

KDMC’s latest recognition is from Modern Healthcare magazine, which has named it one of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare for 2013. This is the second year for our local hospital to receive this award, and KDMC is the only hospital in Mississippi so recognized.

Although great news in its own right, this year’s award, coming as it does two years in a row, also goes a long way toward furthering the status of our hospital for the future. New medical staff looking for a good place to work will definitely want to seek out Kings Daughters for its excellent working environment, coupled with a family-friendly community in which to live.

In announcing the award, a press release from Modern Healthcare magazine said, “… King’s Daughters Medical Center has built a culture where employees are supported and engaged, which benefits not only patients and customers, but the employer’s financial performance as well.”

The hospital is one of our area’s major employers, boosting our economy in countless ways throughout the year. KDMC also gives back to our community through its many services and countless sponsorships.

Our area – and the entire Southwest Mississippi region – is fortunate to have Kings Daughters as a member of our community.
