Bogue Chitto girls record wins over McComb, BHS

MCCOMB – The Bogue Chitto Lady Cats got their season off to a positive start by posting a pair of wins in Saturday’s McComb Classic. Coach Scott Leggett’s team defeated McComb 5-3 and Brookhaven 10-5.
“We had a good day,” said Coach Leggett. “I’m proud of the girls’ effort. It is still early in the season.”
Leggett’s team visits North Pike today, starting with a junior varsity game at 5 p.m. The varsity starts at 6,

A home run by Earlneshia Dillon powered BC’s triumph over the Lady Tigers. Mallory Allen and Alexis Givens singled twice. Colby Kirkland, Terrah nelson, Jordan McKinney and Christian Black singled.
Brooke Myers (2K, 0BB) pitched the triumph.
Leighton Terrell (3K, 1BB) was the losing pitcher.
BC 10, Brookhaven 5
Myers (0K, 1BB) tossed the victory. She helped her cause with 3 singles.
At the plate, BC was powered by Black who singled twice and homered. Dillon and McKinney singled twice. Singles were contributed by Nelson, Allen, Kirkland, Jaide McKinney, Zariah Matthews and Alexis Givens as the Cats cruised to an 8-1, fourth-inning lead.
