West Lincoln crushes McComb

MCCOMB – The West Lincoln Lady Bears conducted an offensive hitting clinic and crushed the McComb Lady Tigers 12-0 Tuesday night in slowpitch softball action.

The Lady Bears (4-1) resume action Saturday. They will invade Meadville to participate in Franklin County’s softball tournament.

West Lincoln quickly took care of business as they hammered the Lady Tigers in four innings of work.

Heather Moak was the winning pitcher for the Lady Bears with one strikeout and no walks.

Leyton Terrell suffered the loss for McComb with no strikeouts and two walks.

Catcher Hanna Moak provided the offensive spark to lead West Lincoln with a home run and a single. Malori Hall fueled the flames with a double and a single. Micah Redd contributed a triple. Hitting safely were Layton Sills and Bentley Sills.

Bethany Davis was the offensive leader for the Lady Tigers with two singles. Kristin Johnson and Paige Brock had a single each.

In JV action, West Lincoln thumped McComb 16-2.

Makennah Redd lead the Lady Bears’ offensive charge with a double and two singles. Millane Lewis continued the onslaught with a double and a single. Destiny Wallace provided a pair of singles. Hitting safely were Peyton White, Cadie Maxwell, Katelyn Travis, Brittany Hill, Demesha Deer and Sara Iane Doty.
