Funeral services for Elton Lee Maxwell of Madison are 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31, at Wanilla Baptist Church in Monticello, with burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Maxwell, 39, died Aug. 28, 2013 in Brandon. He was born in Mississippi on Oct. 28, 1973.

He was a grocery/produce associate and a member of Monticello Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his son, Hunter Maxwell; stepdad, Kevin Young; grandparents, Deloris Pennington and Shelby and Louise Maxwell; and uncle, Roger Pennington.

Survivors are his father, Charles Willard Maxwell; mother, Charlotte Hope Maxwell; stepmom, Dianne Maxwell; and brothers, Shawn Maxwell and Philip Maxwell.

Memorials may be made to Boy Scouts of America, in honor of his son, Hunter Lee, Lincoln County Troop Pack 450.
