Services for Exa Gill Hudson will be Sunday, Sept. 1, at Pleasant Ridge Pentecostal Church at 2 p.m., with visitation from 1 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be at Pleasant Ridge Pentecostal Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Saturday evening, Aug. 31, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service.

Exa Gill Hudson, 101, of Brookhaven, passed away Aug. 29, 2013, at Haven Hall Health Care Center. She was born on March 24, 1912 to George Claiborne Gill and Sarah Cowart Gill.

Mrs. Hudson was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Ridge Pentecostal Church, where she served her Lord faithfully. Before entering Haven Hall, she lived over 75 years in the Midway community of Copiah County.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin M. Hudson; son, Melvin Donald Hudson; parents, George and Sarah Gill; brother, Arnold Gill and two sisters, Effie Britt and Olive Nesmith.

She is survived by her daughters, Sarah Eloise Patton of Debary, Fla., Hazel Barlow and husband, George, of Hazlehurst and Irene Dunigan and husband, Venton, of Natchez; her grandchildren, Gail Smith, Marshall Schultz, Darrell McCullough, Terry Hudson, Marcelle Hudson, Tony Hudson, Tammy Allen, Keith Smith, Eugene Smith, Mike Dunigan and Kathy Smith. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren, 24 great-great-grandchildren and three nephews, Mark Gill, Marvin Nesmith and Gene Nesmith.

The family would like to thank the staff of Haven Hall, along with Debbie Leggett for all the love and special care they gave.
