BSW wins two over Terry

TERRY – The Brookhaven Southern Wildcats edged the Terry Open Arm Patriots 14-12 in 12-under TNT Football action. The Wildcats lost 7-0 to the Patriots in 10-under action. In 8-under action, Brookhaven shut out Open Arm 28-0.

BSW resumes action Saturday at King Field, starting at 10 a.m. with the 8-under team hosting the Southern Mississippi Iron Horse. The second and third games start at 11 and 12:30.

Jamie Finley was the offensive leader with 123 yards rushing on three carries. He rushed in a 80-yard and a 28-yard touchdown. Bryon Robison and Michael King punched in the conversion attempts.

Defensively, Zabain Price, Shelton Newton and Robison led the Wildcats with three tackles apiece.

Open Arm 7, BSW 0 

Daetyn Davis directed the Wildcats with five carries for 91 yards. Davontae Spencer contributed 43 yards on 5 carries.

Darius Robinson and Terrance Charles paced BSW defense with three tackles each. Charles recovered a fumble.

BSW 28, Open Arm 0

Kenneth Dixon provided the offensive charge to lead the Wildcats with 155 yards rushing on three carries and three touchdowns. He rushed in a 54, 70 and 30-yard touchdown. Jeremiah Bracey scored a 54-yard touchdown in the second quarter.

BSW was successful on the extra point attempts as Tyrone Lewis, Cookie Wilkinson and Jones rushed them in.

Defensively, Malachi Clark and Nathan Lewis directed the Wildcats with three tackles apiece. Lewis recovered a fumble.
