WESSON – The Wesson Lady Cobras skinned the Florence Lady Eagles for a 2-1 victory Thursday night in slowpitch softball action.

The Lady Cobras rallied to tie the game at one-all in the fourth inning and scored one run in the fifth inning for the lead. Wesson relied on their strong defense to keep the Lady Eagles in check for the victory.

Cheyenne Gladden pitched the win for the Lady Cobras.

Hailey Chassion paced Wesson’s offense with two singles. Kaitlyn Smith, Sarah Robinson and Sabria Green contributed a double each. Hitting safely were Amber Brinson, Harmoni Ashley and Gladden.

In JV action, Wesson hammers Florence 7-1.

Sabria Green sparked the Lady Cobras with a home run. Melody Ashley fueled the flames with a double. Brooke Page, Abby Meredith and Carrie McSweyn hit safely.
