VICKSBURG – The West Lincoln Junior Varsity boys finished fifth overall in the St. Andrew’s cross country meet. Pearl High School finished first overall among 208 runners.

Leading West Lincoln was Jason Watts with a time of 19:13 in the 5K distance. Also completing for the Bears were Matthew Geis, 20:52; Matt Gill, 21:58; Jordan Montgomery, 22:23; and Baylie Hughes, 23:59.

The next action arrives Saturday at the Choctaw Trails, starting at 10:30 a.m.

The West Lincoln JV girls placed fifth in the 4K, and Madison Central was No. 1 among 155 students athletes. WL’s Lexis Leggett finished ninth with a time of 19:19. Also running were Lilly Rushing, 19:46; Georgeanna Allen, 20:45; Carly Holden, 21:41; and Jana Case, 21:54.
