The Brookhaven school district board of trustees met Monday night in a specially called meeting to approve a tabled agenda item from a previous meeting as well as other district business.

In a matter tabled since a board meeting on Sept. 24, board attorney Bill Allen added an addendum to an existing contract with Diversified Forestree Management for tree planting on 16th section land, which the board approved.

Allen added an indemnity clause to the contract previously considered by the board.

The board also approved a request of six student transfers into the Brookhaven school district by Interim Superintendent Stephanie Henderson.

Additionally, Brookhaven School Director of Finance Susan Cochran presented the board a final amended budget.

After the board swiftly cleared their agenda items, president Willie Harrison called an executive session to deal with a student matter, which lasted approximately half an hour.
