Funeral services will be announced at a later date for Edwin Julian Wolff.

Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Wolff, 83, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at CountryBrook Living Center following a brief illness. He was born in Detroit, Mich., where he lived until his education was completed at Michigan State.

He was then inducted into the Army and sent to Fort Gordon in Augusta, Ga. It was there that he met his wife, the former Mary Chase von Sprecken. They had 59 years together and were blessed with three wonderful children.

Mr. Wolff was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin William and Josephine Kokx Wolff, and his daughter, Mary Chase von Sprecken Wolff Cook.

Mr. Wolff is survived by his wife, M. Chase Wolff; his two sons, Jay Wolff and wife Jeannie Choi’Wolff of Santa Monica, Calif., and David Wolff and wife Kathleen of Brookhaven; his grandchildren, Renee, Dylan and Ava Wolff, Elizabeth Moradmand, Jennifer Pope, Christopher, Samantha, Stephanie, Summer, Heather, Jamilynn and Jessica Wolff.
