A graveside service will be held for Lorraine Holloway Jones of Williamsburg, Va., Saturday, Nov. 2 at 1l a.m. at New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery, and her cremains will be buried near her mother, Annie Fauver Holloway.

Mrs. Jones, 88, passed away Oct. 15, 2013 at Eastern State Hospital in Williamsburg. She was born on July 22, 1925, in Lincoln County and lived much of her early life in Jackson but later lived in northern Virginia.

She was employed many years by the U.S. Dept. of Energy and retired in Virginia. Due to her health, her final years were spent at Eastern State Hospital in Williamsburg.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie James Jones; and her sisters, Myrtis Smith, Donis Rice, Elsie Matthews, and Audrey Alexander.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Tammy Jones of

Lawrenceville, Ga.; her granddaughters, Whitney Jones and Taylor Jones of Lawrenceville, Ga., and she still has many extended family members in the Brookhaven and northern Virginia areas.
