Bogue Chitto crushes MSD

BOGUE CHITTO – The Bogue Chitto Lady Cats climbed back into the win column Tuesday night with a 70-26 victory over the Mississippi School of the Deaf Bulldogs in BC’s new basketball gym.
In the boys game, the Bobcats (3-14, 1-4) were victorious over the Bulldogs 70-28.
Bogue Chitto resumes action Friday as they prepare to visit Walthall County to battle the Salem Wildcats for three games. The junior varsity boys will tip off at 5 p.m., the varsity girls are set to start at 6 p.m., followed by the boys.

The Lady Cats (14-4, 3-1) came out strong and quickly took care of business as BC climbed out to an 28-10 advantage in the first quarter and rolled to a 41-14 lead at halftime.
Karlie Williams was the offensive spark to lead the Lady Cat with 14 points. Senior guard Mattie Avants contributed 13 points. Lauren McCaffery netted 10 points.
“I am pleased to get the win,” said BC coach Christi Terrell. “It was great to give everyone a lot of playing time in this district game.”
