Funeral services for Marie Brice of Brookhaven are 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Carver Heights Cemetery. Tyler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, from 12 p.m. until time of the service at 1 p.m. at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Brice, 86, died Jan. 17, 2014, at her residence. She was born on April 21, 1927, to Isaiah and Lucy Wilson Benjamin.

She was married to the late Mr. Willie Brice Sr.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; her sons, Willie Brice Jr., the Rev. Arthur Brice and Carl Brice; daughters, Ann Fleming and Mary Brice Dickey; brothers, L.C. Benjamin and Alvin Benjamin; and sisters, Gussie Brown McIntyre and Almeta Benjamin.

Survivors are her sons, Michael Brice and wife, Deidre, of Apex, N.C., Charles Brice of Bogalusa, La.; daughter, Leonora Brice of Brookhaven; brother, Calvin Benjamin and wife, Margie, of Detroit, Mich.; sisters, Alease Houston and husband, Jewel, of Chicago, Hazel Jackson and Helen Diggs, both of Brookhaven; 21 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
