Patrick E. Summers, age 44, of McComb, passed away on Jan. 28, 2014, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. at Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home of McComb with visitation again on Friday from 1 until services at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Zachary Smith will officiate and burial will be in Reeves Cemetery.

Mr. Summers was born on April 1, 1969, in McComb. He is the son of Steve Summers Sr. and Gwen Johnston Summers.

Mr. Summers is a member of Friendship Baptist Church and has worked offshore for 12 years, having worked the last two years with the Wood Group Inc. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother and son-in-law. His family said he loved to spend time with his family, hunting, fishing and was an avid wood worker. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include, his wife of 17 happy years, Theresa McDaniel Summers of McComb; two children, Ashley Leann Summers and Joshua Hilton Summers of McComb; parents, Steve Summers Sr. and Gwen Johnston Summers of McComb; two brothers, Steve Summers Jr. and wife, Dana, of McComb; and Timothy “Timmy” Summers and wife, Carmen, of McComb; in-laws, Hilton “Pete” McDaniel and Mary McDaniel of McComb; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Pete McDaniel, Shannon Whatley, P.J. Duncan, Trent Summers, Jared Brister and Buzz Smoots.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Young, Jamie Jackson and James Jackson
