FC Lady Bulldogs edge Jefferson County

MEADVILLE – Going into Thursday, the Franklin County Bulldogs thought they were headed to Fayette. With icy conditions still on the roads of Jefferson County, the game was changed to Meadville.
For FC, that was good news as TaDayla Hunt scored a game high 21 points in a 49-47 win over Jefferson County.
In the boys’ game, Jefferson County won 59-49, despite a 12-point performance from FC center Chris Boss.
The FC Girls, coached by Rickey O’Quinn Jr. overcame a 22-13 halftime deficit and trailed 33-22 after three quarters.
Hunt lit up the Jefferson County defense in the fourth period with swift baskets and quick steals that resulted in fast break points for the Lady Bulldogs.
Franklin High’s win keeps them in the hunt for the Region 7-3A title. FC plays host to Crystal Springs tonight at 6.
