Ole Brook takes first in region

Ole Brook powerlifting coach Russ Britt can see his Panthers getting stronger, and the results are proving it.
Ole Brook finished first in the region recently with some good marks by its “Power Panthers Squad.”
Anthony Wilson won the 308 class with a total of 1410, and Darius Pendleton won the 123 class with a total of 635. Stephen Springfield finished third in the 242 class with a total of 1155. Jay Trunner finished third in the 198 class with a total of 1165. Wilson, Pendleton, Trunner and Springfield all advance to the South State meet, which is held at Gautier.
Other lifters totals were as follows: Johnathon Smith, fifth in 114, 535 total; Darian Caston, fifth in 132, 670 total; Garrett smith, fourth in 148, 755 total; Jon Mark Mathis, sixth in 165, 840 total; Lakendric Smith, fifth in 181, 950 total; Jared Dillon, fourth in 275, 1085 total; and Tristan Peavey, fourth in 275, 1025 total.
“I am pleased with the effort and expect all four of my guys to compete well at South State,” said Britt. “I would also like to thank all my other lifters for their hard work and dedication this year.”
