Funeral Services for Roberta D. York are 1 p.m. Friday Feb. 21, 2014, at First United Methodist Church in Durant with burial in Mizpah City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the services.

Mrs. York, 92, of Brookhaven, and formerly of Durant, died Feb. 19, 2014, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. She was born on March 20, 1921, to Crawford and Lola Henry Deloach.

She was retired from AT&T as an operator. Mrs. York was a member of The Gamma Club, The Twentieth Century Club and headed up the Heart and Kidney Drive in Durant. As a life-long resident of Durant, she was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe York; her parents, her step-mother, Grace Deloach Hill; her sister, Bonnie Traugott; and her brother Cooper Joe Deloach.

Survivors include her sister, Nancy Tate of Leland; her sister-in-law, Billie Deloach; other family members include Doris Henry of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Louanne Jordon and husband Kerman of Meridian, Trudy Wand and Becky Tynes and husband Tommy of Brookhaven; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends.
